The QD200S Standard Automatic Liquid Drop Motion/Contact Angle Meter/Interfacial Tension Meter is a standard contact angle measuring instrument based on liquid drop shape analysis. It comes standard with automatic liquid dispensing, an industrial-grade contour lens, an industrial-grade adjustable brightness monochromatic cold light LED light source, and a professional-grade interfacial chemical analysis system.

Principle of Optical Contact Angle meters
The contact angle refers to the angle θ formed between the tangent line to the gas-liquid interface at the triple point of gas, liquid, and solid, and the solid-liquid boundary line on the liquid side. This angle serves as a measure of wettability. Contact angle measurement is currently the primary method for assessing surface properties.The larger the contact angle θ, the more hydrophobic the surface, resulting in poorer wetting performance; the smaller θ, the more hydrophilic the surface, leading to better wetting
